Anovia Candles

Faith & Flame

The light has a long memory.

For as long as Christians have gathered to pray, we have lit candles. Not because the room needed it — but because the heart did. Anovia exists to keep that small fire going in modern homes.

What Scripture says about light

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Matthew 5:14

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Psalm 119:105

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 1:5

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.

Isaiah 60:1

Four quiet practices

How to use a candle in prayer.

The Evening Lamp

In the Old Testament, a flame was kept burning before the Lord — a continual sign of His presence. Light one candle each evening at sundown. Let it remind your household that God is near, and the day is His.

Family Worship

Place a single Anovia candle at the centre of the dinner table on Sundays. Read a psalm together. Pray for each member by name. Blow out the candle only after the last 'amen'.

Vigil Prayer

When someone you love is sick, suffering, or far from God, light a candle and pray until it is half-burned. Then trust the rest of the watch to the Lord, who never slumbers.

Advent & Lent

Mark the seasons of waiting with weekly candles — one for hope, one for peace, one for joy, one for love. Let the slowly-lengthening light teach you that Christ is coming.
